PVT Land Company's permit is issued under the regulatory requirements of Chapter 342H, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Title 11, Chapter 58 Solid Waste Management Control, Federal Regulation 40 CFR Part 61, National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), Asbestos, has been incorporated into the permit conditions.

Asbestos Policies and Procedures
All customers interested in using the asbestos service need to have a valid Asbestos account in good standing with PVT Land Company. Asbestos containing material (ACM) will be accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. The last Asbestos load accepted for the day must have all documents in order and on the scale by 1:00 pm. Asbestos contractors must notify the Landfill (668-4561) at least 24 hours prior to delivery. PVT will issue a Clearance Number before disposal can begin. Each load is required to have a properly completed manifest (Asbestos Waste Shipment Record) and an authorized Clearance Number. Disposal will not be allowed without a properly executed manifest and Clearance Number.
