The Wai‘anae High School Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) hosted its 8th annual Wai‘anae Adventure Challenge (WAC) from April 25-27.

The largest JROTC adventure challenge in Hawaii, this year’s WAC featured events that included water crossing, swimming, a physical fitness test, rope bridging, rappelling and outrigger canoe paddling.

More than 25 high schools and 400 Army, Navy, Marine and Air Force JROTC Cadets from around the state competed in the two-day event, which concluded with a lunch and awards ceremony.

The WAC promotes wellness and physical fitness in conjunction with the JROTC Cadet Challenge and the State Department of Education benchmark of “personal growth” with emphases on citizenship, leadership values, physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, motivation, and camaraderie in a drug free environment.

PVT Land Company is proud to be among the organizations that provided financial and other support for the 2014 event.
